Last updated: April 6, 2026
1. Who we are
Finexia Finance Inc. (“FinexiaCA”, “we”, “us”) is a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada under incorporation number BC1585160, with its registered office at 205-50 Lonsdale Ave, Office #2421, North Vancouver BC, V7M 2E6, Canada. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
Questions about this policy or your personal information can be sent to legal@finexiaca.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identity and verification data. Your name, date of birth, nationality, residential address, government-issued identification document and, where required, a selfie or liveness check. This is collected to meet our obligations as a Canadian money services business.
- Contact data. Email address and, where you provide it, a phone number.
- Transaction data. Order amounts, payment method, bank or card details processed by our payment providers, destination wallet addresses and on-chain transaction references.
- Technical data. IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, collected through strictly necessary and analytics cookies. See our cookies policy.
- Correspondence. Messages you send us through the contact form or by email, and our replies.
3. Why we use it
- To open and operate your account and to execute the orders you place.
- To meet legal obligations under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and its regulations, including client identification, record keeping and reporting.
- To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, sanctions breaches and abuse.
- To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
- To improve the security, reliability and usability of our service.
4. Our lawful basis
We process identity and transaction data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you and to comply with legal obligations that apply to us. We process technical and analytics data on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through your cookie settings. Where we rely on legitimate interests, for example preventing fraud, we balance those interests against your rights before processing.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where necessary, with:
- Identity verification and sanctions screening providers acting on our instructions.
- Payment processors and banking partners handling card and wire payments.
- Liquidity partners and custodians involved in executing and settling your order.
- Regulators, law enforcement and courts where we are legally required to disclose, including reports to FINTRAC.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting, audit) bound by confidentiality.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers operate outside Canada. Where personal information is transferred abroad, we require contractual safeguards obliging the recipient to protect it to a standard comparable to Canadian law, and we remain accountable for it.
7. How long we keep it
Canadian anti-money-laundering law requires us to retain client identification records and transaction records for at least five years after the end of our relationship with you or after the transaction, whichever is later. Correspondence not subject to that requirement is kept for up to two years. After the applicable period we delete or irreversibly anonymise the data.
8. Your rights
Subject to the exceptions in applicable law, you may ask us to give you access to the personal information we hold about you, correct information that is inaccurate, delete information we no longer need to retain, or restrict how we use it. You may also withdraw consent where we rely on it.
Send requests to legal@finexiaca.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, logging and least-privilege administration. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting you creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as required by law.
10. Children
Our services are not available to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors, and will delete any such information we discover.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be notified to you by email before they take effect.
